Modern Slavery Statement
Removal Van Hounslow Modern Slavery Statement
This Modern Slavery Statement sets out the steps taken by Removal Van Hounslow to prevent modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, and exploitation within our operations and supply chains. As a provider of removal and transport services, we recognise our responsibility to act ethically, uphold human rights, and promote fair working practices in every aspect of our business.
We are committed to continually improving our processes to identify, prevent, and address any risk of modern slavery. This statement covers our approach to policy, supply chain management, reporting mechanisms, and review processes.
Our Zero-Tolerance Policy
Removal Van Hounslow operates a clear zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of modern slavery and human trafficking. We do not accept, condone, or overlook any practice that involves forced labour, child labour, servitude, debt bondage, coercion, or exploitation of vulnerable people.
All employees, agency workers, contractors, and suppliers are expected to uphold this policy and comply with national legislation and international labour standards. Any breach or suspected breach of our zero-tolerance position is treated as a serious matter and may result in termination of employment, cancellation of contracts, or referral to relevant authorities where appropriate.
Our Supply Chain and Due Diligence
We work with a range of suppliers and partners, including vehicle providers, fuel and equipment suppliers, storage facilities, and labour agencies. We understand that risks of modern slavery can arise at different stages of the supply chain, especially where subcontracted labour or outsourced services are involved.
To reduce these risks, we conduct proportionate due diligence on new and existing suppliers. This includes assessing their policies on labour rights, reviewing contractual terms related to ethical conduct, and, where necessary, requesting supporting documentation that demonstrates compliance with modern slavery and human trafficking laws.
Supplier Audits and Monitoring
Removal Van Hounslow carries out periodic supplier audits to evaluate compliance with our ethical standards and modern slavery requirements. These audits may include document reviews, site visits where appropriate, and discussions with management about working conditions, recruitment practices, and worker protections.
If any concerns are identified during an audit, we engage with the supplier to agree timely corrective actions. Where issues cannot be resolved or where serious non compliance is uncovered, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate the business relationship. Our goal is to encourage transparency, continuous improvement, and shared responsibility for protecting workers.
Reporting Channels and Whistleblowing
We encourage all workers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to raise concerns about any suspected instance of modern slavery or unethical behaviour connected to Removal Van Hounslow. No individual will suffer retaliation or disadvantage for reporting a genuine concern in good faith.
Concerns can be raised directly with line managers, senior management, or through existing internal reporting routes. Reports may include information about suspected exploitation, unsafe or coercive working conditions, withholding of wages or documents, or any indication that a person is being controlled or abused for personal or commercial gain.
All reports are treated seriously, handled as sensitively as possible, and investigated promptly. Where there is evidence of wrongdoing or risk, we will take appropriate remedial action and, when necessary, cooperate with relevant external bodies.
Training and Awareness
We are committed to increasing awareness of modern slavery risks among our staff and partners. Training and guidance are provided, proportionate to role and responsibility, to help individuals recognise warning signs, understand reporting procedures, and support our zero-tolerance approach.
Managers and those involved in procurement or supplier management receive additional guidance on assessing risk, conducting checks, and integrating ethical considerations into purchasing and contracting decisions.
Annual Review and Continuous Improvement
This Modern Slavery Statement is reviewed at least once every twelve months to ensure it remains accurate, effective, and aligned with legal requirements and best practice. As part of the annual review, we evaluate the effectiveness of our policies, supplier audits, training activities, and reporting mechanisms.
Where opportunities for improvement are identified, we update our procedures and communicate changes to relevant staff and suppliers. Our aim is to strengthen our ability to detect and prevent modern slavery, enhance transparency in our supply chains, and contribute to a business environment that respects human dignity.
This statement has been approved by the leadership of Removal Van Hounslow and represents our ongoing commitment to combat modern slavery in all its forms.
